In her craftbased practice Maja Bakken is investigating boundaries between the personal and public identity. Bakken has a degree in Art Jewelry from Konstfack University of Arts Craft and Design and is mainly based in Stockholm. She takes her starting point in the interactions between human body and crafted objects. By experimenting with scales and interactivity, her works span from the field of contemporary jewelry to design, public art, performance and sculpture.
